Job Description

The Technical Art Director works closely with the art director and the Art Leads. He/She’s responsible for defining the graphic tools and methods to carry out the artistic vision of the game within the defined technical constraints. The main focuses are conversion of art direction into technical requirements, the implementation of art technologies, tools, pipelines and budgets for the project and development of team members 


Job Description 

  • Collaborate with the Art Director to implement the desired visuals in game. 

  • Develop art pipelines and workflow, working in conjunction with the Art Leads. 

  • Define the technical constraints for the different platforms and ensure that they are respected throughout the production process. 

  • Supervise the integration and optimization of assets in the engine. 

  • Troubleshoot and solve technical art production issues. 

  • Develop or find the best possible tools and methods to improve the team workflow. 

  • Act as an interlocutor between the art team and the programming team. 

  • Provide constant technical support on tools and engine to all members of the Artistic team. 

  • Participate in recruitment to build the technical art team & foster their growth. 

  • Contribute to the development of the engine for the project but also at the group level. 



  • 5 years’ experience as a technical artist. 

  • Shipped at least one AAA Title. 

  • In-depth experience with game engines, 2D and 3D software. 

  • Good video game culture and artistic sense. 

  • Highly proficient communication skills.  

  • Knowledge of a programming and scripting language (C# … ) 

  • Fluent in English.  

Nice to have

  • Experience working on a 60fps title. 

  • Knowledge of Houdini and procedural systems. 

  • Experience building Open-Worlds and large-scale environments.  

  • Knowledge of C++, Python, HLSL, GLSL
