RAYMAN LICENSE

NO ARMS, NO LEGS, BUT MILLIONS OF FANS

Rayman is THE iconic Ubisoft brand, the one that takes us back to the beginning of our history. And if this character without arms or legs was created in Montpellier in the 90s, the Paris studio has contributed to its fame by collaborating on many opus of the license: since the very first opus on PS1 in 1990, which has left an unforgettable mark in the history of video games with its colorful universe and demanding gameplay, we have co-created no less than 12 games from this mythical universe.

Among these games, Rayman 2: The Great Escape in 1999 and Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc in 2003, upgraded the license to a 3D platformer and left its mark in many players by exploring and deepening the universe of Rayman.

In 2007, a year after the launch of Nintendo’s Wii, our developers adopted motion gaming to create a crazy and legendary party game: Rayman Raving Rabbids, followed by Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 in 2008. These two games, in addition to exploring a new console as well as new technologies for the first time in the studio, mark the arrival of these emblematic enemies of Rayman… the birth of a new license!

Globox, Admiral Razorbeard, Murfy, Clark, Polokus or Mr Dark: if these names bring back good memories, it is also thanks to the passion and expertise of our developers at Ubisoft Paris.
