Job Description

Ubisoft’s pioneering studio, Paris studio was responsible for the publisher’s first successes following its creation in 1992. Today, it is at the helm of such must-have licenses as Just Dance, Ghost Recon and Mario + The Rabbids. Ubisoft Paris has also built a solid reputation as a partner of choice in cross-studio collaborations such as Watch Dogs, Skull & Bones, Beyond Good & Evil 2 and Star Wars. Within the animation team of a realistic AAA game and under the responsibility of the Lead Animator, you will be in charge of making animation scenes for narrative elements. 

As a Senior Animator (W/M/NB), your missions will be the following: 

•    Imagine, prototype and produce keyframe animations; 
•    Receive and edit motion captures while managing real time constraints; 
•    Closely to the realization team, create narrative moments and in-game scenes by working on rhythm and character animation;
•    Cutting and integrating animations into our proprietary game engine; 
•    Be a reference on your animations for all the project’s departments in order to meet the objectives of quality and consistency of the animations; 
•    Participate in the optimisation and development of the production process and animation techniques.

Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of real-time animation systems and video games and/or pipeline development;
  • Excellent knowledge of Motion Builder and/or Maya, and knowledge of Motion Capture Body;
  • Knowledge of Facial animation is a plus;
  • Experience in cinematic animation would also be a plus;
  • Strong communication, and ability to work in a team and take on challenges;
  • Fluent English essential to successfully complete your missions.
